Our Cause

Lawyer’s Helping Hungry Children is a 501(C)3 organization dedicated to eradicating child hunger in our community and around the world.  No child should go hungry, yet more than 17 million children in the US and 150 million children worldwide are under fed. In Washington State alone the number is a staggering 300,000 children. As lawyers, we provide financial aid to feeding organizations and advocate for high risk hungry children. We share our partner’s vision to cut hunger in half in the Pacific Northwest by 2028.

CARE

CARE International was established in the 1940s. The first CARE Package™ arrived in Le Havre, France, in May 1946, in response to millions of people in need of food at the end of World War II, known then as the Cooperative for American Remittances to Europe. CARE took possession of 2.8 million USA army surplus packages in 1946, each containing enough food to feed 10 people for one day, or one person for 10 days. CARE trained the newly formed Peace Corps in 1961. By 2023 CARE reached almost 10 million children in 26 countries in 2023 to provide food, supplies and advocate for social welfare for a better world.
